Investing in Georgia

I’m Lisa Campbell, and I’m inviting you to be a part of Georgia history today by donating and voting for me. Let me explain.

When I was in elementary school in Cobb County, Georgia, I had the opportunity to be a part of Georgia’s history by helping to regild our state capitol dome. That’s right! The Georgia Capitol Building was built back in 1889, but it became a National Historic Landmark in 1977. By then, the dome had already lost half of its original gold, so local businesses and schools like mine united to participate in an impressive, statewide fundraising campaign.

How could I help raise the money as a child? By babysitting, selling lemonade, and saving nickels and dimes! As I saved up my money to donate to the state’s capitol dome, I was going about the other activities of growing up in Georgia, school, piano lessons, riding bikes, playing with my sisters and friends—without ever realizing that one day I would walk inside that dome and qualify as a candidate for your House Representative, District 35.

Being an active contributor to our state government in that first small way as a child made a lasting impression; I saw firsthand how everyone’s contributions, whether large or small, can and does make a difference. Absolutely. Here is what I find particularly exciting—if even children pooling their pocket change together could help elevate our state’s mission, how much more can we do together as adults to support our candidates and democracy as a whole?

To find out about all I stand for, visit www.lisaforga.com or come get to know me in person at one of our next events. I’m here to work hard using all my experience—professionally, personally and as a community member—to tackle the day-to-day challenges and opportunities in our community.

I am running to be the first woman in our district to serve as our House Representative. When you donate today and vote for me to win the Democratic Primary on May 24th, you’ll be placing a vote for the first woman in this district’s history! It’s time. I’m ready. This is your opportunity to be a part of Georgia’s history too.

When we pull together to invest in democracy, we are contributing to the greater good. When we unite to enhance education and healthcare, when we create an inclusive economy and equal rights here at home, we are doing our part to create a well-functioning democracy for all of us, and a place we can all be proud to call home.

Will you give $50 dollars today - or as much as you can share to become an investor in our Georgia democracy and help elect me as the first woman to represent Georgia House District 35?

What difference can one vote make, one donation? Well, I can share with you that one kid’s allowance helped make the capitol dome shine a little brighter.

Let's get to work for a Better Georgia for All!
